Crazy Lemonade Cravings

Ok, I don’t know what it is, but the last couple nights I have been craving, oh so badly, lemonade! Tonight at about 11 o clock, I just had to make myself a blended lemonade! I drank the whole thing, which was probably close to 20 oz and it was sooooooo good. It hit the spot. But then I wanted more. By that time it was about midnight and DH was in bed and I was trying to get baby to go to sleep. So after baby was finally in bed, about 15 min. ago, I had to settle for a plain old lemonade,, but it sure was good too!  Now I’m feeling like I want a bit more and I may have to make myself one more glass before I go to bed.  Last night I also ended up drinking a coke, which is a nono for me because cafeine doesn’t do well with babys tummy, but it was sooooooooo good(she says sheepishly)

Anyway, I don’t usually crave stuff like that very often, although I always love a good sugary drink, but craving one like that is a little strange.

So now that you think I’m a little wierd,, I think I’ll go make myself another lemonade and head off to bed :)

Favorite Things Tuesday- Spring/Summer

I absolutely, positively, cannot wait untill summer! I love it when we get to move the clocks forward because it stays light later and that has to be right up there at the top of my favorite things about summer!  For the last couple weeks it has smelled so much like spring that it just makes me want to go for walks in the evening,, if only it wasn’t still so chilly out. :)

I can’t wait to get our back yard tilled up and planted so we can have a nice new grassy yard to play on this summer!  I just love being able to lay down on the grass and feel the breeze and just daydream… reminds me of my younger days when things were more carefree.

I love seeing all the trees in bloom and the daffodils popping up everywhere!

Rose Bush Budding Leaves

I love the spring fragrances. The other day our family went to my brothers engagement party. The restaurant sat right by a creek and as we walked by I could smell the sweet smell of some tree that reminds me of my parents house growing up. Every spring I would catch that fragrance drifting through the air and wonder what kind of tree that was. I did figure out that it was the leaves of a this particular tree that smelled so sweet. The fragrance only comes in the spring time.  Anyone know?  I suppose I could just Google it,,hehe.

Another thing I love about summer, is that the sun rises so early. I’ve never been a morning person and I usually do not drag myself out of bed that early, but I love the idea of it!LOL.  When I used to show horses, I would usually get up before sunrise or right at sunrise in the summer to get ready to go.  I love those memories! Great times those were!  The warmth even so early in the morning,, the chirping of the birds, the smell of horses and leather ,,,, Ahhhhh………………..

Anyway! I’m back to earth now :)  So even though this blog is still so new, I’m going to attempt a bloggy carnival or meme(I think thier the same thing)! I’ve been trying to think of a theme for one and I think this is perfect.

After Midnight? No,,Not Me!

I am definately Not still awake, blogging, with one hand, holding the sweetest   6 month old baby boy on my lap at 12:59am! Nope, not me!

Okay, I must confess,, I am.

Yes, it’s been a wonderfull weekend that pretty much revolved around 3 coughing, snotting, feverish kids. That includes the sweet baby who is, at this very moment, wide awake and contently sitting on my lap chewing unmercifully on his thumb.  Everyones fevers are now gone, although the coughing up of phlegm can still be heard. Hopefully tomorrow I do not get more sick and that  it will end with the current scratchy throat and slight cough.

Well, baby is now getting a little antsy and is pulling running his fingers through my hair. I think it may be time to put him to bed, and then I will definately Not stay up and work on my header image for this blog some more!

That last part may or may not be true! :)

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Saturday Morning 6am…..

Now what in the world am I doing up at 6 oclock on a Saturday morning,, you may ask?  Well, sick kids of course!  Ekid(I finally came up with some nicknames. You can read about that in later post), our 3yr old, woke up coughing and the poor guy has a fever. Now I’m not sure what his temp is because the dumb thermometer isn’t working right, and it’s hard to get an accurate reading in his armpit anymore. I can’t stick it in his mouth because he just doesn’t understand to keep it under his tongue yet and to keep his mouth closed. We can’t stick it in his bottom because,, well,, that’s just weird with a 3 yr old!!

So that’s why I’m up at 6am.  Nboy(our 6yr old) is now stuffy too,,since last night at bedtime, and woke up just after midnight with a really dry throat,, so there’s another one down,, and I have a really scratchy throat as we speak.

All I have to say is… I can’t wait for summer!!

If It’s Not One It’s the Other

The problem with having more than one child is that somebody seems to be sick at any given time during the winter months. Our middle child who is 3, seems to get sick the most(it couldn’t be because he sticks his fingers in his mouth all the time, could it?). So guess who it is this time.. yep it’s him, ds2,( I really need to come up with some nicknames for these guys!).  Sneezing and snotting and coughing up a storm… what fun! So now the question is,, who’s gonna be next?  You know it’s inevitable!  Baby has been sneezing more today and yesterday his little eyes looked a little red and he was being a little more cuddly than normal, although he always likes to cuddle.

So here we go again…. I think it was just 2 or 3 weeks ago that ds2 had his last cold and then 2 weeks ago I came down with a fever for a day(which was kind of odd, but at least it didn’t last longer than that!)

So  if it’s not one child it’s another and then it makes the rounds, usually without mercy!  :)
